MUNICIPAL POPULATION AND DEVELOPMENT SECTION

The Philippine Population Management Program aims to contribute to improving the quality of life of all Filipinos through responsible parenting, better health and education, attainment of population outcomes that are in harmony with the available resources and sustainable environmental conditions and reduction of poverty and inequalities in human development opportunities.

The Population and Development Office formulates plans and strategies and implements programs, projects and activities on the three (3) key programs of the office which is the Population and Development Integration (PopDev Integration), Responsible Parenthood and Family Planning (RPFP) and Adolescent Health and Development (AHD).

​The PopDev Integration helps in effectively integrate population variables and dynamics in developing people centered development interventions by effectively using demographic and socio-economic database for plan and program development.

​The Responsible Parenthood and Family Planning implements priority strategies in assisting couples to achieve their desired number, timing and spacing of children. It specially aims to attain zero unmet need for modern family planning and increase access to FP information and services.

​The Adolescent Health and Development implements strategies to prevent early and repeated pregnancy among 10 – 19 years’ adolescents.
