I am Hon. Ariel P. Amador, born on October 3, 1967, in Bocaue, Bulacan. I am the proud son of Mr. Diego Amadorof Loma de Gato and Mrs. Requilda Pagsanjan of Bambang, Bocaue. I was raised with the values of faith, humility, and hard work, lessons that have guided me throughout my life as a son, a father, and a public servant.
I have lived most of my life in Barangay Ibayo, Marilao, Bulacan, where I have built not only my home but also my purpose to serve my fellow Marileños wholeheartedly.
I began my studies at Marilao Central School, where I first learned the value of perseverance and education. I continued my secondary education at Meycauayan Institute, where I became more active in community involvement and student leadership. I later pursued my college education at Meycauayan College, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy.
My degree helped me understand the importance of discipline, accuracy, and transparency traits that became the core of my service in government. My background in accountancy taught me that leadership requires both heart and accountability, qualities I have embraced in every stage of my public career.
My journey in public service began in 2004, when I was first elected as Municipal Councilor of Marilao. Through the continuous trust of my constituents, I proudly served five terms, from July 2004 to June 2025.
During these fifteen years of legislative service, I have authored and supported numerous ordinances and resolutions aimed at uplifting the lives of the people of Marilao. Among my most notable works are:
Municipal Ordinance No. 964 – “Rice Subsidy”, a program providing additional food assistance to every family in the Municipality of Marilao.
Municipal Ordinance No. 1050 – “Free Movie Admission for Senior Citizens and PWDs”, honoring our elders and persons with disabilities by promoting inclusion and recreation.
Municipal Ordinance No. 1044 – “Drivers’ Day”, recognizing the vital role of drivers in community mobility and local livelihood.
Municipal Ordinance No. 1043 – “LGBTQ Day”, celebrating diversity and promoting equality for all gender identities in Marilao.
Municipal Ordinance No. 1036 – “Establishing the Persons with Disability Affairs Office (PDAO)”, ensuring representation and assistance for PWDs in the municipality.
Municipal Ordinance No. 1027 – “Additional Benefits for Solo Parents”, granting more privileges and aid to solo parents in recognition of their strength and sacrifices.
Municipal Ordinance No. 579 – “Additional Benefits for Senior Citizens”, a measure that strengthens the welfare and privileges of the elderly sector.
Municipal Ordinance No. 614 – “Fund for Iskolar ng Bayan”, which provides educational support and scholarship opportunities to Marileño students.
Municipal Ordinance No. 1053 – “Comprehensive Youth Code”, which ensures the protection, development, and empowerment of the youth in the municipality.
Because of my continued efforts to support education, I am honored to be known as the “Ama ng Iskolar ng Bayan.”
Beyond education, my advocacy also extends to other important sectors of society. I have authored and supported resolution that address pressing social and developmental concerns, such as:
Resolution No. 2022-24, supporting the “Masustansyang Pagkain para sa Batang Pilipino Act”, which focuses on the nutrition and well-being of children and youth in Marilao.
These initiatives reflect my belief that every sector of society from children to parents, from youth to senior citizens deserves equal attention, care, and opportunity.
In the July 2025 local elections, I was entrusted by the people with a greater responsibility to serve as the Vice Mayor of Marilao, obtaining a remarkable 44,459 votes. Under the leadership of Mayor Atty. Jemina M. Sy, I now serve as the Presiding Officer of the 12th Sangguniang Bayan.
As Vice Mayor, I am committed to ensuring that the local government remains responsive, transparent, and people-centered. I continue to promote cooperation and harmony between the executive and legislative branches, ensuring that every ordinance and resolution passed genuinely serves the welfare of the community.
My vision for Marilao goes beyond what has already been achieved. I aim to introduce more programs, facilities, and services that will address the growing needs of our people. Among my future priorities are the establishment of:
Therapy Centers and Dialysis Centers to provide accessible healthcare to residents in need
A Municipal Hospital and Community Clinics to strengthen local health services
A Training Center modernization to equip Marileños with livelihood and technical skills
A Special Learning School and a dedicated Persons with Disabilities (PWD) Office to support inclusive education and accessibility
Free School Supplies for Students to assist families financially and promote continued education
Master’s Degree Scholarships for Selected Public School Teachers to enhance the quality of education in Marilao.
Establishing a University to build and develop a higher education institution in Marilao.
These plans reflect my deep commitment to improving not just the present, but also the future of every Marileño. I firmly believe that progress should be inclusive where education, health, and livelihood opportunities are accessible to all.
My service extends beyond government work. I have been an active member and leader of several civic and community organizations that embody volunteerism and compassion. These include:
Former President, Bulacan Youth Association (BYA)
Former President, Marilao Executive Lions Club
Former President, JCI Marilao Chapter
Charter Member, Bulacan Supremo Eagles
Member, Rotary Club Marilao Highlands
Member, Knights of Columbus
Moreover, I founded the Alagad Himig Choir, a group that promotes music, faith, and unity among Marileños, proving that leadership can also thrive through culture and the arts.
Every law I pass, every program I support, and every initiative I lead is driven by a single purpose to make life better for the people of Marilao.
As I continue my journey as Vice Mayor, my mission remains steadfast: to build a progressive, compassionate, and empowered Marilao that values education, health, equality, and unity.
My life story is a testament to how one person’s determination and sincerity can create lasting change. And as long as I am given the opportunity to serve, I will continue to dedicate my heart, time, and effort to the welfare of every Marileño.
“I may not change the whole world, but if I can make a difference in the lives of my fellow Marileños, then I have already succeeded as a public servant.”
